Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority
On 19th April 2000, the Authority has been notified in the Gazette of India in terms of Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority Act, 1999 (IRDA Bill). The Authority has also been constituted.
Mission:To protect the interests of the policyholders, to regulate, promote and ensure orderly growth of the insurance industry and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto
