Kotak Mahindra Bank Limited (KMBL) is the holding company and the flagship of the Kotak Mahindra Group. It was actually incorporated as Kotak Capital Management Finance Limited on November 2, 1985 and obtained its ‘Certificate of Commencement of Business on February 11, 1986.

The joint venture OM Kotak Mahindra Life Insurance started off with an initial net worth of Rs. 150 crore, with 74:26 stake between KMBL and OM
The Life Insurance business offers KMBL with an opportunity to leverage its core strengths of Wealth Management and Retail Distribution.
