ICRIM visualizes the body of knowledge of the C-RIM program as covering three interrelated areas:

The C-RIM program follows six distinctive but interrelated approaches:

Two Formats of the C-RIM Program:

The C-RIM Program is offered on a distance learning basis through study and examinations in two formats.

Focus Areas

The C-RIM program focuses on three areas:

• Domain Knowledge and Skills in Risk and Insurance

• Management Practices and Operational Excellence

• Information Technology and E- Business

For Whom

The C-RIM program will be suitable for:

• Finance, accounting and management professionals like CFAs, CTMs, CAs, CWAs, CSs, and MBAs who are seeking careers in the insurance industry;

• Professionals already employed in the insurance industry, and AIIIs/FIIIs who want to upgrade their skills and knowledge in the areas of Risk and insurance Management;

• Professionals working in the area of investments who wish to expand their scope to include the insurance fund investments;

• Entrepreneurs who wish to gain in-depth knowledge about the insurance industry;

• Students pursuing full-time postgraduate programs in commerce, economics, mathematics, statistics and management;

• Other individuals who are connected with or working in the insurance industry, such as consultants, accountants, actuaries, lawyers, doctors, engineers, administrators etc.

Program Structure

Education Methodology

The C-RIM Program is offered in the distance learning mode and is delivered through multiple media such as printed study material, contact classes and online interaction with faculty.

• Self study

• Continuous learning inputs

• Training classes (optional)

Award of Masters Diploma

The successful candidates will be awarded a certificate of pass for each level by ICRIM. Only those candidates who complete all three levels successfully will be awarded the Master's Diploma in Risk & Insurance Management (MRIM). The Diploma issued by ICRIM (India) will be co-signed by ICRIM (USA).

Designation & Membership

Designation and Membership in ICRIM:

• After completing all the prescribed course requirements and other criteria, if any, the candidates will be eligible to apply for membership in ICRIM. All members of ICRIM will be conferred the designation "Certified Risk and Insurance Manager" (in full) and "C-RIM" (in brief).

• Affiliate Membership in The Institute of Chartered Risk & Insurance Managers, USA
