Schedule of Entrance Examination - November 2000

The Entrance Examination of the Society will be held in November 2000 as per the Following schedule :

1. Time Table .

   i) Mathematics 14-11-2000 Tuesday 10.30 p.m. to 1.30 p.m. ii) English 14-11-2000 Tuesday 2.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m.

   
   
   

2. Centres : MUMBAI, CALCUTTA, DELHI, HYDERABAD, KANPUR, CHENNAI BHOPAL,  DHAKA (Bangladesh) & PORT LOUIS (Mauritius).
   
   

3. Mode of payment of fees : By Rupee DD drawn in favour of Actuarial Society of India, payable at Mumbai .
   
   

4. IMPORTANT POINTS TO NOTE :

   
   

   1. There will be only one Paper in Mathematics The Sylabus for Mathematics is given in the Annexure attached.

   2. Issue of Application Forms for May, 2000 Examinations will cease on 26th February 2000.

   3. Applications should be only in the enclosed prescribed Form. Applications which are not in the prescribed Form are liable to be rejected.

   4. Candidates should remit fees for both English and Maths except those who have been exempted or got credit in one Subject for which evidence should be furnished (vide item 8 and 9 of application form).

   5. Request made subsequently for transfer to a different Centre will not be entertained.

   6. Outstation cheques will not be accepted.

   7. No part of the Examination fees will be refunded or applied to a subsequent Examination if a Candidate withdraws his /her name or fails to present at the Examination.

   
   

5. APPLICATIONS ON PLAIN PAPER, INCOMPLETE APPLICATION AND APPLICATIONS RECEIVED AFTER THE LAST DATE WILL NOTE BE ACCEPTED AND FEES ACCOMPANYING SUCH FORMS WIL BE RETURNED. CANDIDATES ARE ADVISED TO ENSURE THAT APPLICATIONS IN THE PRESCRIBED FORM REACH ASI`S OFFICE STRICTLY ON OR BEFORE THE LAST DATE BY SENDING THEM BY COURIER OR SPEED POST, IF NECESSARY.
   
   

6. Applications found complete in all respects willl be acknowledged by immediate issue of receipt for fees accepted. Admission Cards giving the Roll Number and address of Venue of the Examination shall be sent by the 2nd week of April 2000.
   
   

7. Candidates who do not receive letter informing Roll Number and address of Exam. Venue due to some reason or other may present the original official receipt issued by us to the Regional Manager (Actuarial), Zonal Office, LIC located at the Examination Centre who will inform the Roll Number and permit them to appear for the Examination. Candidates are therefore advised to preserve the receipt of ASI carefully.
