Birla Sun Life Insurance Company Limited,is a joint venture company of The Aditya Birla Group and Sun Life Financial Services of Canada. This 74:26 joint venture has been formed with an initial out lay of Rs.120 Crores.

As part of it's growth plans, the company wants to establish branches in different cities across India. Currently, fully operational branches of the company in Mumbai,Delhi,Kolkata, Chennai and Bangalore are doing business. There are plans to set up new branches in Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad as also other cities in India.

The company would like to recruit Branch Managers at each of these locations. The job of a Branch Manager is of crucial importance to the company and hence it would call for the following qualities in prospective candidates :

To provide leadership and vision to the Branch.
Ensure standard practices in sales and service, resulting in complete customer satisfaction
Be the single person contact point for the Insurance Head Office with the agency force.
Take responsibility for productivity and service levels of the Agency Managers.
Identify and develop market thrust areas and undertake promotional activities for the same.
Maintain high morale of the agents by ensuring timely compensation and benefits.
Take responsibility for gathering and reporting grass-root competitors' intelligence.
Provide second line support for the agents.
Take responsibility for the overall control of all functions unique to the branch.
Take accountability for the branch's overall operation and profitability.

The requirement is for bright professionals from Life Insurance, FMCG or from Financial Services Industry.The ideal candidate should have 6 to 8 years of experience in Sales and Marketing or Channel Management of which atleast 3 years of experience should be as a Branch Manager or Profit Centre Head. He/She should be less than 40 years of age, show high level of initiative and possess good communication and man management skills coupled with a good understanding of finance. Minimum qualification required is graduation, however candidates having post-graduate qualification in management would be preferred. Candidates willing to re-locate will have an added advantage.
